Redeemed by His Blood

The literal meaning of the word redeemed means purchased, bought back,   exchanged, trade in.  The price for our sins have been paid in full by the Blood of   Jesus Christ, we have been purchased from slavery of sin, bondage and from the   claws of the enemy by every drop of His shed Blood. Ephesians chapter 2: verses   3-14 explains

“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near in the blood of Christ, For he is our peace, who has made us both one, and has broken down the dividing wall of hostility”

Acts 20:28 explains it like this

“Take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God which he obtained with the blood of his own Son. (RSV)”

Hebrews 9:12 states

“Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” (KJV)

Peter tells us in 1 Peter 1: verses 18-19

“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, [as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation [received] by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:”

The shed Blood of Jesus has purchased our bodies from sin and we have been commanded by God to Glorify Him through our mind, body and soul. Look at the following verses from the Holy scriptures.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 states

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.”            (KJV)

Romans 12:1-2

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service and be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Dear friend’s the priceless Blood of Jesus Christ was shed for the forgiveness of our sins and to bring us back to the family of God. Accepting the price that Jesus paid for our sins and welcoming the Prince of Glory into our lives would be the wisest decision that anyone would ever make.
